The Blind Rooms | Exhibition | Lightwell Gallery at the University of Oklahoma
Within one room, I presented ten different genres of psychological blindness. This exhibition uses sound based stories accompanied by a sound piece that fills the room, a choreography of natural light, surround paintings, a collaborative created sculpture and performing bodies. The viewer was provided headsets with different audio narratives pre-recorded by OU Acting students. Each headset has a different story that began when the viewer started it.
The choreography was independent in terms of temporal synchronicity from the audio narratives. However, the experience for the viewer was filled with symbolic coincidences, so that each viewer had a different experience of the narrative they heard.
